ABOUT US

Shining Star Sports is an Ohio Chartered 501c3 Non Profit Organization engaged in building young men ages 8 to 18 into tomorrow’s leaders. The organization is 23 years old and teaches life skills through training and developing members to be competitive basketball players and loyal team members.

Our success is measured by how many members matriculate to colleges and universities and how many members are afforded that opportunity through scholarships based on their basketball skills.

Shining Star Sports develops funds to purchase uniforms, pay tournament and various AAU fees, rental expenses for practice sites, payment for coaches, scholarship offsets for needs tested financially challenged members, travel and hotel expenses for staff, and miscellaneous expense categories. Our goal for the upcoming 2024 year is to expand our reach and field 40 teams with 412 players.
